Class 57 (1'E1't h3 / 2-10-2T) Tank Locomotives

The three-cylinder Class 5700 tank engines were acquired in the 1950's as helper and banking machines to complement 2-10-0 tender lokomotives on heavy mountain grades. They are similar to DB baureihe 85 tank engines, but they have a larger boiler and firebox.
