The things we want don't always come
straight out of a box!
Here is before and after views (actually, after and before views) of a Roco class 58 loco.
My models of TCDD Class 45 are heavily kit-bashed from Roco Br58 locos. The 10-coupled frames of the Roco 58's were shorted by a full driver axle to turn the engines into the 8-coupled TCDD Class 45 and the boiler was shortened accordingly. The fact that Roco engines are tender-drive helped quite a bit as no serious mechanical work had to be modified in the locomotives.

Pass over the centuries.
Double track tunnel in Ulugecit Pass.
Note the catenary inside the tunnel. I installed catenary in such places with the idea
that I may install catenary throughout the layout in the future with minimum disruption
and damage to the scenery.
Code 100 track was used in the
construction of the trackwork. Peco switches were used with under-floor solenoid switch
machines. Note inspection pit to the left.
